Therapist overwhelmed with admin chaos
The story

A day in their practice. Before and after.

Every independent therapist in India knows this feeling. We're building the tools to change it.

01 — Scheduling
Before
Scheduling chaos

Managing appointments across 3 apps.

WhatsApp for communication. Calendly for scheduling. A spreadsheet to track who's coming. Every week, something falls through the cracks.

After
Scheduling calm

Everything will live in one place.

Scheduling, reminders, and session notes, all connected. You'll know exactly who's coming and what you last talked about.

02 — Payments
Before
Payment friction

Chasing payments after every session.

Manual UPI requests. Awkward reminders. No record of who's paid and who hasn't. It costs time and professional confidence.

After
Payments sorted

Payments will track themselves.

Automated payment tracking integrated with UPI. See what's paid, what's pending. No more awkward follow-ups.

03 — Client continuity
Before
Client dropout

Never knowing why they stop coming.

Most clients disappear after sessions 2 or 3. Right when the work starts to matter. No signal, no warning. Just silence.

After
Client continuity

Now you see what's happening between sessions.

Clients will log moods and complete exercises between sessions. You'll see the data before you meet. Progress becomes visible. Clients feel held, not forgotten.

What the research says

Between-session engagement isn't a nice-to-have.
It's where outcomes are made.

96%
of standalone mental health app users quit within 15 days. Apps alone don't work. But the same tools used inside a therapeutic relationship are among the strongest outcome predictors we have.
Baumel et al., 2019 — real-world cohort of 93 apps
48% stronger
outcomes when clients complete between-session homework vs. those who don't. One of the strongest predictors in all of therapy research.
Kazantzis et al., 2010 — meta-analysis of 46 studies
2 in 100
Indians who recognise they need support are still in therapy at week 8. That's when outcomes start to compound.

Who this is for

We're building with therapists first.

The platform is designed therapist-out, not client-in. Because if therapists don't have the right tools, nothing else works.

For therapists

Be one of our founding therapists.

We're looking for independent therapists in India to help shape what we build. You'll get direct access to the founder, and your practice becomes the product's first proof of concept.

Questions

Things therapists ask us.

Honest answers. No sales language.

You do. Full stop. Your client list, your session notes, your practice data. None of it belongs to ProTherapy. We are infrastructure, not owners. You can export your data at any time, and we will never use it for any purpose other than running the features you've asked for.
No. Never. You set your own fees and your clients pay you directly. ProTherapy will charge a flat monthly subscription. What you earn from your practice is entirely yours.
Yes. ProTherapy is designed to work with the practice you already have. You will be able to import your existing clients and continue working with them through the platform. You are not starting from scratch.
You can export everything at any time in standard formats. Your notes, client records, and session history belong to you. If you decide to leave, we will make sure you leave with everything intact.
Not for the core experience. The first version will be web-based and works on any browser. We are also planning WhatsApp integrations for reminders and between-session nudges, so your clients can stay engaged without downloading a separate app.
No. Client information is private to you and your client. ProTherapy does not read your session notes, sell data, or share anything with third parties. Confidentiality is not a feature. It is the foundation.
Amaha and YourDOST sell to clients and treat therapists as supply — you earn ₹500–700 per session while clients pay ₹2,000+. ProTherapy treats therapists as the customer. You pay us a flat subscription. You set your own fees. We don't take a cut of your sessions, and we don't own your client relationships.
The first version will be web-based. It will work on any browser on desktop or mobile. A dedicated mobile app is on the roadmap. We're also planning WhatsApp integrations for reminders and between-session nudges, so your clients stay engaged without needing to download a separate app.
We're pre-launch. The practice management MVP is in active development. We're onboarding founding therapists now specifically to build with real feedback — not to deploy a finished product. If you join at this stage, you get direct access to the founder and your feedback shapes what gets built first.

Founder, ProTherapy

I've been in therapy on and off for over five years. I'm neurodivergent with ADHD and ASD, and staying consistent with therapy was always the hardest part. Not finding a therapist.

I switched repeatedly. Not because they were bad. Because nothing happened between sessions. No continuity, no signal that the work was adding up.

I'm a CS graduate from IIT Guwahati, currently studying the clinical side of what I'm building. I want to build this the right way: therapists and clients first, revenue second.
